Services I offer

Adult Counselling

Supporting You Through Life's Challenges

I'm here to support you as we explore the patterns that feel automatic. I provide individual counselling services to adults. Together, we can gently bring what's hidden into the light, so you have more choices moving forward.

Areas I can support you with:

🌱 Anxiety and Panic – Together we’ll explore your nervous system responses and build practical coping strategies so you can feel more grounded and in control.

🌧 Depression and Mood Challenges – I’ll support you in working through feelings of overwhelm, sadness, and disconnection while finding new ways to reconnect with meaning and joy.

🌿 Generational Trauma – We’ll explore intergenerational patterns and strengths, helping you break cycles while honouring resilience and growth.

🧩 Trauma and PTSD – Healing happens at your own pace. I provide a safe space to process difficult experiences, reduce triggers, and reclaim your sense of self.

πŸ’” Grief and Loss – Loss takes many forms, not just death. I’ll walk with you through grief, offering space, validation, and support for your healing.

❀️ Relationship Concerns – Whether with a partner, family, or friends, we’ll work on improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and understanding relationship patterns.

πŸ”„ Life Transitions – From career changes to divorce or identity exploration, I’ll help you navigate shifts with clarity, self-compassion, and resilience.

🌟 Self-Worth – Together, we’ll focus on recognizing your strengths, building confidence, and helping you express your needs more openly and authentically.

🎯 ADHD Support – Practical strategies for focus, organization, and self-compassion, tailored to how your brain works best.

βš–οΈ BPD and Emotional Regulation – Support in building skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce cycles of distress.

πŸ” OCD and Anxiety Disorders – Evidence-based approaches, including ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), combined with compassion to help you regain a sense of choice.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Parenting Difficulties – I provide a supportive space for parents who feel overwhelmed, helping you navigate challenges while strengthening connection with your child.

What to Expect: Our 50-minute sessions focus on understanding the story behind your patterns. What feels like a "problem" today was likely a solution that helped you survive something difficult. We'll explore why your mind developed these responses and use those insights to build better tools for moving forward.

Child & Teen Counselling

Helping Young People Find Their Voice

I'm here to help your child find their voice and their path. Together, we'll explore what's beneath the surface behaviors or emotional struggles, so they can discover new ways to express themselves and navigate their world.

I work one-on-one with:

  • Children (ages 8-12)

  • Teenagers (ages 13-18)

Areas of support:

πŸŽ“ School-Related Stress – Support for managing academic pressure, test anxiety, and social challenges at school.

πŸ’” Grief and Loss – Gentle guidance through different types of loss and change, including the death of a loved one, divorce, or moving to a new environment.

βš–οΈ Emotional Regulation – Helping children and teens understand and express big feelings in healthy ways.

🧩 Behavioral Concerns – Exploring the meaning behind behaviours and developing strategies to support more positive coping.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Family Relationships – Strengthening parent–child communication, navigating sibling conflicts, and adapting to family changes.

🌱 Anxiety and Depression – Providing age-appropriate tools and coping strategies to help manage sadness, worry, and overwhelm.

✨ ADHD and Neurodivergence – Celebrating differences while building skills for focus, organization, and self-understanding.

🀝 Social Difficulties – Support with friendship struggles, bullying, or feeling different from peers, while encouraging connection and belonging.

🌟 Self-Esteem & Confidence – Helping youth explore who they are, recognize their strengths, and feel more confident in expressing themselves.

My Collaborative Approach: As a neurodivergent parent myself, I understand the complexities families face. I begin with a parent intake session to understand your child's needs and your family's goals. This ensures we're all working together to support your child's growth and healing.

When working with young people, I may occasionally recommend family sessions as part of supporting your child's development. This collaborative approach helps create lasting change both at home and in your child's inner world.

My Therapeutic Approach

Blending Evidence-Based Methods for Your Unique Journey

I believe I can best help you when we understand the full picture of who you areβ€”including your nervous system, strengths, history, relationships, adaptive patterns, and inner world. Here are the evidence-based approaches I integrate:

Coherence Therapy: Discovering the roots of your patterns and creating new possibilities for how you respond. We'll explore the emotional learning that created your current responses and help your brain update those patterns.

Polyvagal Theory: Understanding and supporting your nervous system responses. Learning to recognize when you're in fight/flight, freeze, or social connection modeβ€”and how to help your system feel safer.

IFS/Parts Work: Working with different parts of yourself. We all have different internal "parts"β€”the critic, the protector, the wounded child. We'll explore your parts, their roles, and help them work together.

Attachment-Based Therapy: Understanding how your early relationship patterns influence your current experiences. We'll explore what you learned about staying connected to others and help you develop more secure ways of relating.

DBT Skills Building: practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These are concrete skills you can use every day.

Trauma-Informed Approaches: including ERP for OCD and anxiety, and trauma processing techniques that honor your pace and capacity.
